As the year is winding down, so are a lot of our projects! This summer was SO busy and so it feels good to be finishing things up and getting a bit of a breather. 🤍

This is a little snippet of the laundry room project we’ve been working on! Absolutely love the warmth this wool rug brings to the space.

If you’re looking for ways to transition your decor to fall despite these oppressively hot days we’re still having, adding rugs, pillows and warmer colors can make all of the difference.

We did a collaboration, sharing two different scenarios in which you can use a wax metallic finish.

✨Sidra started with a wood frame and added black paint as a base coat to build up from, creating extra depth and interest for the final look. She used Eternal Gold with Prima Wax by Redesign. @redesignwithprima

✨Tia took an heirloom brass bug and just gently applied hints of the wax, building up over the original patina, so as to not lose the actual history of the piece. She used European Gold by Rub’n Buff. @amacobrent

It was such a fun and easy way to bring more character to our homes!

This project was a huge undertaking, but the results are 100% worth it!

We started with totally gutting the space.

There really wasn’t any original character to save, so finding ways to incorporate personality was goal number one!

Originally we had planned out the whole house so that each of our five children would have their own bedroom, but when it came time to do the two little girls’ rooms, they told us that they just really wanted to share.

Sooo, back to the drawing board!

This pivot ended up making all of the difference! It was just the opportunity I needed to infuse the character I love so much!

How about alcoves for the beds?! Ohhh…and imagine them completely covered in wallpaper…BINGO! 🤩

After so many years of adventure, seeking and introspection…I’m finally at peace with *me.*

In the world of interiors, they say, “Niche down.”

That’s never really felt like an easy task for me because I appreciate so many things that I don’t easily fit into one neat little box.

But if I were to choose three pillars on which my design style stands I would say they are:

✨ Nature

✨ Family

✨ Travel

It feels SO good to finally be able to clearly see what influences my design aesthetic and to fully embrace all of the parts of me, because only then can I really do what I do *best.*

All that hard work…100% worth it!

When you’re in the middle of remodeling, it can sometimes feel like, “What did I get myself into!?”

But the truth is, you’ve just got to *trust the process.*

In the end…it’s totally worth any suffering you may have experienced throughout the process! 😅

We took this color drenched pink bedroom and made it feel slightly more mature and (definitely) more calming and cohesive with the main living space!

There are so many trends, things that constantly come and go, but what you love will always feel right in your own home.

Sure, my style has evolved over time, but at its core, there have always been things that are timelessly *me.*

✨ I prefer a home that is orderly, where everything has a place (or as I would say, it has a home or it doesn’t belong)!

✨ I love interesting spaces even when dealing with a completely neutral palette. I always find ways to make a space feel truly one-of-a-kind!

✨Nature is a huge inspiration to me, so I will always incorporate that element into my designs.

I would definitely have to say that the arched wallpapered alcoves are my favorite part of this project! 😍

When we bought this house, we literally gutted the entire thing…

Believe it or not, there’s only one partial wall still in place!

As an interior designer, that was a tall (but exciting) order!

I had to literally plan out the entire flow of the house (with the additional trick of not moving the plumbing since the house is on a cement pad and Brandon said he didn’t want to have to cut it all up).

Then I had to find creative ways to infuse character that didn’t previously exist!!! 😱🤩

Now that this bedroom is complete(ish)…okay, there’s still things I will probably add down the road…I can honestly say that I cannot even believe where this space originally started!

It’s SO full of character and charm and it doesn’t even feel like the same house!

I’m going to have to dig to see if I can put together a reel showing the entire process from the VERY beginning.

All of this to say, dreams do come true! 🥹💕✨
